How To Cleanse Your Body And Mind After The Festivities

Celebrations of life are important to raise the level of consciousness in ourselves. All celebrations come with a point of continuity and perpetuity of happiness, auspiciousness, devoutness and further celebrations.

The festive season is a vibrant expression of devotion and joy. It comes with a lot of fervour and enthusiasm. It means binging on festive delights. While we may give in to temptations, the key is to bounce back, as the steering of our lives is in our hands.

Maintain balance by eating healthy five days a week, focusing on discipline and habits. A healthy lifestyle with a good nutritional intake and regular physical activity ensures overall well-being, even with occasional indulgences. Moderation is essential—portion control allows you to enjoy festivities guilt-free.

After the festivities, return to discipline. A 12–14-hour fast, starting the day with warm water, herbal teas and fresh green or ABC juice till noon will help to cleanse the body. Follow with a balanced lunch and light and early dinners by 7 p.m. Clean eating reverses indulgence—vegetables cleanse, fruits heal, nuts and seeds fortify and herbs regulate. Incorporating salads, coconut water, sprouts and unstrained juices rejuvenates the system.

Follow the circadian rhythm for better health. Eat intelligently and ethically, ensuring food nourishes rather than drains energy. Sattvic, balanced meals promote calmness and mental clarity. Stay hydrated with coconut water, buttermilk and warm herbal infusions like cumin, neem, basil, fennel and ginger to keep digestion smooth.

Exercise should be a vital component of any day. Regularly exercising for a minimum of 30 minutes helps in digestion and in cleansing.

Pranayama and Yoga poses like surya namaskar, adho mukhasvanasana, marjaryasana and bitilasana, shavasana, uttanasana and balasana are great postures that help cleanse not only your body but mind as well. Regular practice purifies the mind and body and brings balance to the system. Be self-aware and listen to your body.

For a healthy body and mind, we also need to have deep sleep at night. It is important to think about positive things to enjoy peaceful sleep at night. Visualise between your eyes everything that you want to do, want to be and want to see. Make positive affirmations and participate in being a co-creator of your own destiny.

Think clean, eat clean, exercise clean, breathe clean and sleep well to live a wholesome, fulfilling life.
